The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sun and its rising brightness 1 and by the moon when she follows him, 2 The day when it reveals his radiance, 3 and by the night when it draws a veil over it, 4 By the heaven and Him Who builded it, 5 And the earth and Him Who spread it, 6 By the soul and Him Who propertioned it, 7 And inspired it with the wickedness thereof and the piety thereof, 8 Indeed successful is the one who made it pure. 9 and he who suppresses it will be ruined. 10 The Thamud tribe rejected the truth because of their arrogance, 11 when the most wretched of them uprose, 12 So the Noble Messenger of Allah said to them, “Stay away from the she camel of Allah, and from its turn to drink.” 13 However, they rejected him and slew her. So their Lord completely destroyed them and their city for their sins. 14 and He fears not the issue thereof. 15
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
