Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the night when it envelopeth, 1 And the day resplendent 2 and by the creation of the male and the female. 3 you strive in various ways. 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 And testifieth to the Good, 6 We shall facilitate for him the Way to Bliss. 7 And as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need (of Allah), 8 And rejects the best, 9 We will ease him toward difficulty. 10 And his substance will avail him not when he perisheth. 11 Indeed, Guidance is Ours, 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 Therefore I have warned you of a Fire blazing fiercely (Hell); 14 None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. 15 who gives the lie to the truth and turns away [from it]. 16 Far removed from it will be the righteous 17 one who gives his wealth to become purified, 18 not as payment for any favours that he received, 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 Will surely be gratified. 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
