The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL THE night to witness when it covers over, 1 And the day resplendent 2 and That which created the male and the female, 3 Certainly, your efforts and deeds are diverse (different in aims and purposes); 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 And testifieth to the Good, 6 So We will very soon provide him ease. 7 But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient, 8 and have no faith in receiving any reward (from God). 9 We shall facilitate the path to affliction 10 And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 and, behold, Ours is [the dominion over] the life to come as well as [over] this earlier part [of your life]: 13 Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire 14 None shall enter it save the most wretched, 15 Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs. 16 The pious ones will be safe from this fire 17 Who gives away his wealth, purifying himself 18 And have in his mind no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 surely, he shall be satisfied. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
