The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the night when it draws a veil, 1 And [by] the day when it appears 2 and by the creation of the male and the female. 3 Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends). 4 So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), 5 and believes in the truth of the ultimate good 6 We shall ease the way of fortune for him. 7 And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, 8 and he belied the finest 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. 11 Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance, 12 And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 Who gives the lie (to the truth) and turns (his) back. 16 For, distant from it shall remain he who is truly conscious of God: 17 And gives of his wealth that he may grow in virtue, 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High. 20 and such, indeed, shall in time be well-pleased. 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
