The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night, when it envelops, 1 and by the day when it breaks in its glory, 2 and by that (Power) which created the male and female, 3 you strive in various ways. 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 and affirmed the Truth of goodness: 6 We shall ease the way of fortune for him. 7 But as for him who is a miser, and self-sufficient, 8 and rejects what is right, 9 Surely We will ease his way unto adversity. 10 And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 None shall enter it save the most wretched, 15 The one who denied and turned away. 16 But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- 17 And gives of his wealth that he may grow in virtue, 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 Except only the desire to seek the Countenance of his Lord, the Most High; 20 and the reward (of their Lord) will certainly make them happy. 21

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
