The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night, when it envelops, 1 and by the day when it breaks in its glory, 2 And the creating of the male and the female, 3 Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends). 4 So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), 5 and confirms the reward most fair, 6 We shall surely ease him to the Path of Easing; 7 But as for him who is niggardly, and thinks that he is self-sufficient, 8 And gives the lie to the best,- 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 and to Us belongs the Hereafter as well as the present world -- 13 Now I have warned you of a Fire that flames, 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 Who denies and turns away. 16 Far removed from it will be the righteous 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 They do not expect any reward 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 and before long he will be well satisfied. 21
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
