Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
