Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
