The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
