The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the morning hours 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
