In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Recite thou in the name of thy Lord Who hath created 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him summon his helpmates; 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
