The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
