The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Recite: And thy Lord is the Most Generous, 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. 8 Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) seen him (i.e. Abu Jahl) who prevents, 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 What thinkest thou? If he were upon guidance 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We shall call on the guards of Hell. 18 Nay, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)! ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
