The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 and it throws out its burden, 2 when man asks, "What is happening to her?"; 3 on that Day it will narrate its account, 4 For your Lord will have commanded it. 5 On that day men will return towards their Lord, in different groups, in order to be shown their deeds. 6 Then whosoever hath worked good of an atom's weight shall behold it 7 And whosoever hath worked ill of an atom's weight shall behold it. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
