Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

When the earth is shaken with its mighty shaking, 1 And the earth bringeth forth her burthens, 2 when man asks, "What is happening to her?"; 3 On that Day she will tell out the tidings thereof. 4 Because thy Lord will inspire her. 5 That day people will proceed separately to be shown their deeds. 6 and whoso has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 And whosoever has done even an atom's weight of evil will behold that. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
