The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the racers, panting, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And raiding at dawn 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
