Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And raiding at dawn 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
