Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
