Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
