Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
