The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 and produce sparks 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat). Sent down in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
