Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
