3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
