The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 Would that you knew what the Clatterer is! 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool, 5 Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, 6 shall live in a life which is pleasing, 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 will have hawiyah as their dwelling. 9 And what shall make thee know that which she is? 10 A Blazing Fire! 11
