Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Abundance diverts you, 1 till you reached the grave. 2 You shall know. 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
