Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you come to the graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You will be shown hell 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
