Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
