Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 till you reached the grave. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
