Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 You shall know. 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
