Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
