Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
