The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In extended columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
