The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in endless columns! 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
