The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in columns outstretched. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
