The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In columns outstretched. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
