The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 It will engulf them. 8 In outstretched columns. 9
