Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
