Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
