Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

'Children of Israel, remember My favor I have bestowed upon you. Fulfill My covenant, and I will fulfill your covenant with you. Me, you must fear. 40 And believe in what I have sent down which verifies what is already with you; and do not be the first to deny it, nor part with it for little gain; and beware of Me. 41 And cover not Truth with falsehood, nor conceal the Truth when ye know (what it is). 42 Attend to your prayers, give the zakat [prescribed alms] and bow down with those who bow down. 43 ۞ Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense? 44 Seek you help in patience and prayer, for grievous it is, save to the humble 45 who know with certainty that they shall meet their Sustainer and that unto Him they shall return. 46
