Children of Israel! remember My favour wherewith I favoured you, and fulfil My covenant, and I shall fulfil your covenant, and Me alone shall ye dread. 40 Believe in that which I have [now] bestowed from on high, confirming the truth already in your possession, and be not foremost among those who deny its truth; and do not barter away My messages for a trifling gain; and of Me, of Me be conscious 41 Confound not truth with falsehood, nor knowingly conceal the truth. 42 And perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat, and Irka' (i.e. bow down or submit yourselves with obedience to Allah) along with Ar-Raki'un. 43 ۞ Will you enjoin good deeds on the others and forget your own selves? You also read the Scriptures, why do you then not understand? 44 Help yourselves (in your affairs) with patience and prayer. It is a difficult task indeed, but not for the humble ones 45 who realize that ultimately they shall meet their Lord and shall return to Him. 46
