O Ye who believe! obey Allah and His apostle and turn not away therefrom while ye hearken. 20 And do not be like those who said, “We have heard”, whereas they do not hear. 21 ۞ The worst beasts before Allah are those who are deaf, dumb, and do not understand. 22 And had Allah known in them any good He would surely, have made them hear; but (being as they, are) even if He made them hear, they would have surely turned away in aversion. 23 O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and the messenger when He calleth you to that which quickeneth you, and know that Allah cometh in between the man and his own heart, and that He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered. 24 And fear a trial which shall surely not smite in particular the evildoers among you; and know that God is terrible in retribution. 25 And remember, when ye were few and reckoned feeble in the land, and were in fear lest men should extirpate you, how He gave you refuge, and strengthened you with His help, and made provision of good things for you, that haply ye might be thankful. 26 Believers, do not betray Allah and the Messenger, nor knowingly betray your trust. 27 And know that your possessions and your children are but a trial and that surely with Allah is a mighty reward. 28
