۞ And recite to them the story of Noah. He said to his nation: 'O my nation, if my standing here, reminding you of the verses of Allah grieves you, and in Allah I have put my trust; decide upon your affair with your associates, then do not let your affair worry you. Come to a decision about me, and give me no respite. 71 But if you turn back, I did not ask for any reward from you; my reward is only with Allah, and I am commanded that I should be of those who submit. 72 Then they rejected him; then We delivered him and those with him in the Ark, and We made them successors; while We drowned the others who belied Our signs. Observe then the fate of those who had been forewarned. 73 Then after him We sent (many) messengers to their peoples: they brought them Clear Signs, but they would not believe what they had already rejected beforehand. Thus do We seal the hearts of the transgressors. 74 Then after them We sent Moses and Aaron with Our signs to the Pharaoh and his nobles; but they behaved arrogantly, for they were a people full of guilt. 75 So when there came to them the truth from Us, they said, "Indeed, this is obvious magic." 76 Moses said: 'Is this what you say of the truth when it has come to you? Is this sorcery? Sorcerers do not prosper' 77 They replied: 'Have you come to turn us away from the way of our forefathers that the two of you might become supreme in the land? We shall never accept what the two of you say.' 78 And Pharaoh said (to his) men: 'Bring every skilled sorcerer to me.' 79 And when the magicians came, Musa said to them: Cast down what you have to cast. 80 When they had had their throw, Moses said: "What ye have brought is sorcery: Allah will surely make it of no effect: for Allah prospereth not the work of those who make mischief. 81 "And Allah by His words doth prove and establish His truth, however much the sinners may hate it!" 82
