You who believe, seek help through patience and prayer; surely, God is with the steadfast. 153 Do not consider those who are slain for the cause of God to be dead. They are alive but you are unaware of them. 154 Be sure We shall try you with something of fear and hunger and loss of wealth and life and the fruits (of your labour); but give tidings of happiness to those who have patience, 155 who, when they are visited by an affliction, say, 'Surely we belong to God, and to Him we return'; 156 Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided. 157 ۞ Surely the Safa and the Marwa are among the signs appointed by Allah; so whoever makes a pilgrimage to the House or pays a visit (to it), there is no blame on him if he goes round them both; and whoever does good spontaneously, then surely Allah is Grateful, Knowing. 158 Lo! Those who hide the proofs and the guidance which We revealed, after We had made it clear to mankind in the Scripture: such are accursed of Allah and accursed of those who have the power to curse. 159 Excepted, however, shall be they that repent, and put themselves to rights, and make known the truth: and it is they whose repentance I shall accept - for I alone am the Acceptor of Repentance, the Dispenser of Grace. 160 Surely those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers, these it is on whom is the curse of Allah and the angels and men all; 161 Abiding in it; their chastisement shall not be lightened nor shall they be given respite. 162 Your God is One God; there is no God except Him – the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 163
