Surely We brought man into being out of dry ringing clay which was wrought from black mud, 26 and the jinn We had created before from flaming fire. 27 Recall when your Lord said to the angels: "I will indeed bring into being a human being out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud. 28 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him in prostration! 29 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 30 Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. 31 He said: O Iblis! What aileth thee that thou art not among the prostrate? 32 [Iblis] replied: "It is not for me to prostrate myself before mortal man whom Thou hast created out of sounding clay, out of dark slime transmuted!" 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 "And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)." 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 He said: So surely you are of the respited ones 37 Till the Day of the Time known. 38 Iblis said: "My Lord! In the manner You led me to error, I will make things on earth seem attractive to them and lead all of them to error, 39 Save such of them as are Thy perfectly devoted slaves. 40 God said, "This is the path which leads straight to Me. 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 and for all such, behold, hell is the promised goal. 43 It has seven gates; for every gate there shall be a separate party of them. 44
