Al-Hijjr 3 of 6
Indeed We created man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud. 26 and the jinn created We before of fire flaming. 27 When your Lord said to the angels: 'See, I am creating a mortal from clay of molded mud. 28 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, bow before him in homage;" 29 Therefore all the angels, each and every one of them, fell prostrate. 30 Except Iblis (Satan); he refused to be among those who prostrated. 31 He said: O Iblis! what excuse have you that you are not with those who make obeisance? 32 (Iblis) said: "I am not one to prostrate myself to man, whom Thou didst create from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape." 33 Said He: "Go forth, then, from this [angelic state]: for, behold, thou art [henceforth] accursed, 34 “And indeed you are accursed till the Day of Judgement.” 35 "O my Lord," said he, "give me respite till the day the dead are raised." 36 The Lord said, "Your request is granted 37 Till the Day of the Time known. 38 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Because you misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all. 39 “Except those among them who are Your chosen bondmen.” 40 [Allah] said, "This is a path [of return] to Me [that is] straight. 41 verily, thou shalt have no power over My creatures - unless it be such as are [already] lost in grievous error and follow thee [of their own will]: 42 And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
