When the messengers came to Lot and his family, 61 He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." 62 They said, "No, but we bring you news about what they disputed, 63 And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful. 64 so leave with your family some time in the latter part of the night, and walk behind them. Let none of you look back. Go where you are commanded." 65 And We revealed to him this decree, that the roots of these shall be cut off in the morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 [Lout (Lot)] said: "Verily! these are my guests, so shame me not. 68 “And fear Allah and do not disgrace me.” 69 They replied: 'Have we not forbidden you (the people of) the worlds' 70 Lot said, "These are my daughters if you want them." 71 By your life O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) – they are indeed straying in their intoxication. 72 Then the shout took hold of them at the sunrise. 73 And We turned the city upside down, and rained on them stones of hardened lava. 74 Surely in this are signs for those who examine. 75 surely it is on a way yet remaining; 76 Indeed in this are signs for the believers. 77 And the dwellers of the thicket also were most surely unjust. 78 On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway. 79
