T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
