The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 The piercing star! 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
