And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 And all that which they used to earn availed them not. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 Of what they used to do. 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
