AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 Then the shout took hold of them in the early morn. 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 Who have made the Quran into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other). 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
